Story In the beginning (Ngurrumpa) we believed there were large ancestral animals that walked before us on mother earth to help create the land as it was rising out of the water. One of the four creation animals is depicted in this painting. The echidna (Thikkibilla) which is known as Mt Yengo today and can see from Wollombi National Park in NSW. Our connection to country is important as the stories of our landscapes teach us about our traditional ways.
